Sabbath is not just a day to me. It used to be. It is becoming a way of life.
What are your thoughts about how Sabbath should be observed?
Short post tonight, because well...I am calling it a night. Sabbath and all. :)

I very much agree. I consider "sabbath" times (using the plural "times" purposely) to be the points where humanity and God experience the awareness of interconnection. If one is aware of the experience we encounter with God/God encounters with us, how can this not renew us, or at least change us. And this may not be in a whole day, although that can certainly be the case. It can be in an hour, 5 minutes, 2 seconds. It could be looking at a cloud, hearing a song, reading scripture, putting hands in the dirt. How do we know when that Sabbath moment is going to occur. Now I hear the argument in my head that "We must take time out to: devote/reflect/observe, whatever." I used to kind of agree with this, but it seems like this makes it too much about us. In favor of our responsibility, why can't we devote/reflect/observe all the time? To me, it seems as though even if we observe the Sabbath traditionally, we still try to prepare for it like we prepare for vacation: go crazy getting everything done so that then we can relax and sabbath, instead of seeing these things all around us all the time.
I think "Sabbath as a Way of Life" is an awesome title and one we should pay attention to more often.
